This just in - a film crew from SpeedTV's weekly racing program "Lucas Oil On The Edge" will be on hand in Plymouth, WI on Friday June 4 to film the 26th Annual Dairyland Classic Presented By Hoban Brothers for an upcoming episode to air later this summer!
We are currently working out the logistical efforts that we need to implement to make the show a reality but for now all systems are go!
On the pre-entry front, I have contacted every AMA Grand National Champion since 1999 about participating this year, and so far have not been told "no" by anyone. Some, however, are waiting to see how their equipment survives the annual Springfield, Illinois double-header on Memorial Day weekend and also waiting to see what the weather forecast is (the economy affects everyone). Nonetheless, the following guys - who by themselves have put on tremendous shows for us in the recent past - have vowed to be here:

- #3 Joe Kopp - 2000 AMA Grand National Champion

- #21 Jared Mees - 2009 AMA Grand National Twins Champion & 2009 Dairyland champ
It is always a thrill to have the stars of the AMA Grand National Championship compete at our event - I consider it similar to the New York Yankees playing a major league baseball game at your local high school!
I have also exciting to hear that a certain retired three-time AMA Grand National Champion may be in attendance as well, helping out his new team get the bikes and riders dialed in. I am hopeful that if this comes to pass he will grant us a few minutes on the microphone to tell us what he's up to since hanging up his steel shoe.
